Because of CDC and Indiana State Department of Health guidance to avoid holding large events for the next several weeks, we have decided to postpone the annual Harrison County Lincoln Day Dinner, which would have been held on Monday, April 6.
As much as we all look forward to seeing each other at the dinner each year, the health and safety of everyone in our community must be our paramount concern.
We will be rescheduling the dinner, but do not have a date yet. The rescheduled date will be announced later. We have spoken with Senator Mike Braun's staff, and he will hopefully remain our speaker at the new date.
Deadlines associated with the James L. Shireman Civics Scholarship are likewise being postponed, as the Scholarship is awarded at the dinner.
For those that have paid for tickets in advance, several options are available:
- A full refund is available to anyone wanting it.
- We can hold your check and count it toward your tickets to the rescheduled Lincoln Day Dinner. If you cannot make the rescheduled date, we will provide a full refund at that time.
Most payments we have received for advance ticket payment are by check and have not been deposited. If you want the payment to count toward tickets to the rescheduled dinner, we will not deposit your check until then.
