The Harrison County Republican Party will hold a ceremony on Thursday evening, December 30, at 7 p.m. for the swearing in of the winners of the November election.
The ceremony will take place in the Circuit Courtroom of the Harrison County Courthouse and will be open to the public. It will be followed by a reception honoring the newly-sworn-in officials.
Family, friends, and supporters are all welcome to attend.
Though the event is being hosted by the Republican Party, nonpartisan school board members are welcome to attend and also be sworn in during the ceremony. Sherry Brown, Harrison County’s Circuit Court Clerk, will be on hand after the ceremony to complete all necessary paperwork for new officeholders.
