On Tuesday, April 20, the Corydon Tea Party hosted a forum for the sheriff primary candidates. The forum was moderated by George Ethridge. Over eighty people turned out to listen to the candidates.
Three candidates were present. In the video (from right to left) these are Democrat Jim Slucher, Republican Michael Gregory, and Republican Rod Seelye.
Three additional candidates (Republican Tom Bube, Democrat Eric Fischer, and Democrat Rick Minton) committed in advance to the Corydon Tea Party forum organizers that they would attend. They were not present. Bube was unable to attend because of his wife being ill. The others did not explain their absence.
Four candidates (Democrat Gary Gilley, Democrat Marty McClanahan, Democrat Brad Shepherd, and Democrat Roy Wiseman) either declined, were unable to be reached by organizers, or were unable to participate from the start.
Here are videos of the various candidates.
The format involved presenting a question, which was then answered by every candidate in a random order determined by the drawing of cards. In the spirit of bipartisanship, the videos show both the answers from both Republican and Democratic candidates.
